A minibus parked on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, caught fire, but no one was injured.
The incident occurred on Saturday (15 November) at 6:00 am in front of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) office in the Shimrail area.
According to police, the bus driver parked the vehicle in front of the RHD office on Friday night at 10:00 pm. Early Saturday morning, locals noticed smoke and fire inside the bus and informed the fire service. With the help of locals, the fire was brought under control. The fire damaged the bus seats, glass, and some interior parts, but no one was hurt.
Mohammad Shahinur Alam, officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj police station, said that the parked bus caught fire, but no casualties occurred. Preliminary investigation suggests that the fire may have started due to a mechanical fault or some other reason. The matter is under investigation.
