12 Parties to Hold Dialogue with EC on Sunday

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Election Commission (EC) will sit in a dialogue with 12 political parties tomorrow, Sunday. On this day, from 10 AM to 12 PM, Gono Forum, Gono Front, Islamic Front Bangladesh, Islami Oikyo Jote, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) and Bangladesh National Party will join the dialogue with the EC.

In addition, from 2 PM to 4 PM, the EC will hold discussions with Bangladesh National Socialist Party (Bangladesh JASAD), Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP), Trinomool BNP, Krishak Sramik Janata League, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and Islami Andolon Bangladesh.

At present, the total number of registered political parties with the EC stands at 53.

The registration of the Awami League remains suspended. Besides, the registration of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), Freedom Party and United Citizen Movement has been canceled. A notification has been issued to finalize the registration of the new parties—National Citizen Party (NCP), Bangladesh Amjanagan Party and Socialist Party of Bangladesh, Marxist. If there are no objections, these parties are expected to receive certificates after November 12.
