District Rally Held Again Demanding the Declaration of Noakhali as a Division

Leaders and activists of the Noakhali Division Implementation Struggle Council, along with various social and voluntary organisations, have once again held a district rally demanding that Noakhali be declared an administrative division and that the decision be implemented without delay.

The rally was held on Sunday afternoon at the Central Shaheed Minar premises in the district town of Maijdee.

Speakers at the event said that Noakhali must be declared and implemented as an administrative division before the upcoming national election. Otherwise, they warned of tougher programmes, including blockades on waterways and roads, as well as a remittance shutdown.

The rally was presided over by Saifur Rahman Rasel, President of the Noakhali Division Implementation Struggle Council. The chief guest was Md Zahidul Islam Kawsar, Founder of the Dr Mostafa Hajera Foundation and Chief Adviser of the organisation.

Others present included content creator Farhadul Islam Pavel, Noorakhali Reform Forum President Am Mahmud, Safe Noakhali Chai Subarnachar Unit President Helal Uddin, senior spokesperson of the district branch of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Apon Ahmed, along with people from various walks of life in Noakhali.
