1,007 hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours, three deaths reported

In the past 24 hours, 1,007 people across the country have been admitted to hospitals with dengue. During the same period, three patients died from dengue infection.

On Monday (17 November), the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services disclosed the information in a press release.

According to the release, among the newly admitted patients, 333 are from the two city corporation areas of Dhaka, 254 from Dhaka Division, 150 from Barishal Division, 135 from Chattogram Division, 25 from Khulna Division, 61 from Mymensingh Division, 41 from Rajshahi Division, five from Rangpur Division, and three from Sylhet Division.

Notably, last year a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue in the country, and 575 died from the disease.
