From 8 AM on Monday to 8 AM on Tuesday, four more deaths occurred due to dengue. During this period, 920 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals.
This information was provided in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (November 18).
According to the release, 920 new patients were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours. Among them, 146 were from the Barisal division, 116 from the Chattogram division, 147 from areas outside the Dhaka City Corporation, 211 from Dhaka North City, 151 from Dhaka South City, 72 from areas outside the Khulna City Corporation, 65 from areas outside the Mymensingh City Corporation, 2 from areas outside the Rangpur City Corporation, and 10 from areas outside the Sylhet City Corporation.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 985 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. A total of 83,597 patients have been discharged so far this year.
Since January of this year, a total of 86,924 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals. So far this year, 343 deaths have been recorded due to dengue.
Furthermore, from January 1 to December 31, 2024, a total of 101,214 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals, and 575 deaths occurred from dengue. In comparison, in 2023, from January 1 to December 31, 1,705 people died from dengue, and 321,179 were admitted to hospitals.
