Although a ceasefire is in effect in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 25 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Additionally, 77 people were injured in Gaza City, Khan Younis and several other areas. These attacks occurred on Wednesday.
A report by Reuters noted that since the United States–backed ceasefire came into force, at least 305 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza over the past five and a half weeks.
The Palestinian health authorities stated that nearly half of the casualties occurred in a single day last week, when Israeli forces launched large-scale retaliatory attacks. Israel has confirmed that three of its soldiers were killed during the same period.
Meanwhile, Middle East Monitor reported that Israel intensified its strikes on Gaza from early Wednesday morning, marking a clear violation of the ongoing ceasefire. These attacks resulted in at least 25 Palestinian deaths.
Israel claimed in a post that the strikes were carried out in response to an attack on its troops in Khan Younis.
