Elderly Man and Teenager Die in Separate Road Accidents in Jhinaidah

In Jhinaidah, two separate road accidents have claimed the lives of an elderly man and a teenager. The deceased are Rashidul Islam, also known as Madhu Munsi (67), and teenager Aslam Hossain (17). Madhu Munsi was the son of the late Alhaj Munsi Azizur Rahman of Kodalia village in Harishankarpur Union, Sadar. Aslam Hossain was the eldest son of Rasem Biswas from Kabirpur, Shailkupa Municipality. Both families are now in mourning.

According to police, on Friday (21 November) early morning, Madhu Munsi was on his way to the village mosque for prayers when an unidentified pickup van struck him, causing him to fall into a pond and die on the spot.

Meanwhile, police and locals reported that on Thursday around 11:30 pm, Aslam Hossain was returning home on a friend’s motorcycle. He fell from the motorcycle near Kabirpur Jame Mosque. Locals rushed him to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

The information was confirmed by Sadar Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun and Shailkupa Police Station OC Masum Khan. No complaint has yet been filed by Madhu Munsi’s family.
