Tragic Death of Brothers After Electric Wire Accident

Two brothers were electrocuted after coming in contact with a torn electric wire in Hossainpur of Kishoreganj. The incident occurred early Saturday (22 November) at Golachipa village under Shahedal Union.

The deceased were identified as Nuru Khan (60) and his younger brother Fazlu Khan (55), sons of Hasen Uddin from the same village. Both were farmers.

According to family members, early in the morning, Nuru Khan went to fetch straw for his cattle near the house when he touched a fallen electric wire. As his younger brother Fazlu Khan tried to rescue him, he too was electrocuted. Both died at the scene.

Shahedal Union Parishad Chairman Md Firuz Uddin and Hossainpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nahida Sultana confirmed the deaths. The bodies are currently kept at Hossainpur Police Station.

Hossainpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maruf Hossain said that police rushed to the spot upon receiving the news. Legal procedures regarding the incident are underway.
