Three More Die from Dengue, 593 Admitted to Hospitals

In the past 24 hours (from Friday 8am to Saturday 8am), three more people have died from dengue in the country. Two of the deceased were residents of the Barishal division. During the same period, 593 new patients have been admitted to hospitals.

This information was reported in a press release from the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.

According to the release, 90 new patients were admitted in Barishal division, 97 in Chattogram division, 88 in areas outside Dhaka city corporation, 211 in Dhaka North City, 78 in Dhaka South City, and 29 in areas outside Khulna city corporation.

Meanwhile, 628 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours. So far this year, a total of 86,331 patients have been discharged.

From January to date in 2025, a total of 89,486 patients have been admitted to hospitals, and 356 people have died from dengue this year.

For reference, from January to December 2024, 101,214 patients were admitted to hospitals due to dengue, and 575 people died. In 2023, a total of 1,705 deaths were reported, and 321,179 patients were hospitalised due to dengue.
