In the past 24 hours, two more people have died from dengue across the country. During this period, 705 patients infected with the mosquito-borne disease have been admitted to hospitals.
On Monday (24 November), the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services reported that among the newly admitted patients in the last 24 hours, 62 are from Barisal Division (outside the city corporation), 116 from Chattogram Division, 137 from Dhaka Division, 171 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 77 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 34 from Khulna Division, 53 from Mymensingh Division, 34 from Rajshahi Division, 5 from Rangpur Division, and 16 from Sylhet Division (outside the city corporation).
So far this year, a total of 366 people have died from dengue. In addition, 90,969 patients have been admitted to hospitals, of whom 62.3 per cent are men and 37.7 per cent are women.
