The Thai Embassy in Dhaka recently organised a special cleaning and landscaping initiative in memory of the late Queen Sirikit of Thailand. Newly appointed Thai Ambassador Thitiporn Chirasawadi joined the embassy staff in the programme, and photos posted on Facebook show the ambassador personally sweeping the area.
The embassy’s official Facebook post on Monday (24 November) stated that the initiative aimed to honour Queen Sirikit’s memory and promote a culture of service and environmental responsibility among the staff.
The post further mentioned that the programme took place on 20 November, following Queen Sirikit’s passing on 24 October. Activities included cleaning the embassy building, storage areas, and surrounding grounds, beautifying the environment, and improving the workplace.
It is noted that Ambassador Thitiporn Chirasawadi recently assumed his duties and submitted his credentials to President Md. Sahabuddin on 4 November. His active participation in such a hands-on programme has already sparked discussion on social media.
