Khalid Mahmud Khan Appointed New MD & CEO of Southeast Bank

On Thursday, 27 November, Mohammad Khalid Mahmud Khan officially took over as the new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Southeast Bank. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Additional MD and Chief Business Officer at Mutual Trust Bank (MTB).

Khalid Mahmud Khan has had a distinguished 26-year career at MTB, where he held several key positions. He served as Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP), Head of the Wholesale Banking Division, and was also in charge of managing the Dilkusha, Panthapath, and Principal Branches.

Khalid Mahmud Khan completed his undergraduate studies at Dhaka University and went on to earn an MBA. He began his banking career in 1994 as a Probationary Officer at Agrani Bank. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience across a range of banking operations, including corporate banking, financial institutions, loan management, recovery, international trade, foreign exchange, general banking, SME, retail banking, and relationship management.

In addition to his banking expertise, Khalid Mahmud Khan has attended various training programmes, workshops, and conferences both in Bangladesh and internationally.

This appointment marks a new chapter for Southeast Bank, as Khalid Mahmud Khan brings a wealth of experience to lead the institution in its future growth and development.
