The Meteorological Department has stated that the cold may intensify further in Dhaka and surrounding areas. At 6am on Saturday, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 17.6 degrees Celsius. The humidity level at that time was 89 per cent, which made the cold feel even stronger.
According to the morning forecast, the sky is expected to remain clear and the weather dry in the next six hours from 7am. Winds may blow from the west and north-west at a speed of 8 to 12 kilometres per hour. Daytime temperatures may also drop slightly, the forecast added.
