The Meteorological Department has stated that over the next 24 hours, daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country are likely to remain largely unchanged. This was reported in a forecast released on Saturday morning.
According to the forecast, until 9 am on Sunday, the weather across the country may remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. No significant change in temperature is expected during this period.
The department also reported that Cyclone ‘Dituah’, located near the coast of Sri Lanka and the adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal, was moving north-northwest and remained in the same area as of 6 am on Saturday. It may continue moving further north-northwest.
Additionally, an extension of the subcontinental high-pressure belt is present over West Bengal and adjacent areas.
