Arsenal have thrilled their fans by securing an agreement with Ecuadorian twin talents, Edwin and Holger Quintero, who are currently plying their trade at Independiente del Valle. This landmark deal adds two of Latin America’s most promising young players to Arsenal’s future plans.
ESPN reports that the 16-year-old twins are in London this week for formalities, including contract signings. Following these procedures, the club plans to make an official announcement. The Quinteros will officially join the club in August 2027, once they reach the age of 18.
While Arsenal have not disclosed the contractual details, the move clearly demonstrates the club’s ambition to secure top-tier talent for the next generation. Previously, Arsenal confirmed another 16-year-old, Victor Ozhiyanvunu, who will join the club from Shamrock Rovers in January 2027 after turning 18.
The Gunners have closely monitored Edwin and Holger for nearly a year. Edwin, who thrives on the right wing, has drawn comparisons to Neymar due to his blistering pace and dribbling ability. Holger complements his brother as an attacking midfielder, orchestrating play and creating opportunities in the final third.
Arsenal’s scouting department has consistently excelled at identifying prodigious talent, successfully integrating players such as Miles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, and Sabs Max Dorman into the first-team fold. Notably, Dorman, who turns 16 this month, has already played in both the Premier League and Champions League, making history as Arsenal’s youngest Champions League debutant against Slavia Prague last month.
By acquiring Edwin and Holger Quintero, Arsenal have strengthened their academy pipeline, ensuring a steady influx of talented youngsters capable of stepping up to the senior squad.
