Khudiram Bose is a timeless symbol of patriotism, sacrifice and courage in Bengali history. One of the youngest revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle, his fearless resistance inspired a subjugated nation.
On 3 December, his birth anniversary is observed with deep reverence and emotion.
Khudiram was born on this day in 1889 at Mohoboni village under Khajuri Police Station in Medinipur. From early childhood, British cruelty ignited a spirit of protest within him. In his teenage years, he joined armed revolutionary activities with unwavering determination.
The bomb attack on British judge Kingsford made Khudiram a marked rebel in the eyes of the British government. Despite arrest, he never lost courage. “Bande Mataram” remained his constant chant—the source of his strength.
His radiant smile after the declaration of the death sentence became a beacon for a suppressed nation, proving that the pursuit of freedom transcends death itself.
At just eighteen, Khudiram embraced death with a smile on his face. His devotion to the motherland has immortalised him. He is not merely a revolutionary—he is a guiding star for all who cherish freedom.
On his birth anniversary, we salute him with respect, love and admiration. His legacy remains an eternal source of inspiration.
