Police have recovered the body of an unidentified elderly man from beneath the stairs of a flyover in Tongi, Gazipur. On Wednesday (3 December) morning, officers from Tongi East Police Station retrieved the body after being informed by locals.
According to police, the deceased was approximately 60 years old. He was wearing trousers and a sweater. No documents were found on him that could confirm his identity, making immediate identification impossible.
Sub-Inspector Mosabbir Hossain of Tongi East Police Station said that the man’s identity has not yet been established. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further legal steps will be taken once the report is received.
