The schedule and group structure for the Youth Asia Cup have been officially confirmed by the Asian Cricket Council. With the tournament set to launch this month, teams have intensified their preparations. Bangladesh will compete from Group B, where they face three familiar regional rivals.
Bangladesh’s opponents in the group stage are Afghanistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Analysts believe this group will be full of competitive cricket, as all teams have shown strong growth in recent youth tournaments.
Matches will begin at 9:00 PM GST.
13 December: Bangladesh vs Afghanistan
15 December: Bangladesh vs Nepal
17 December: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka
Bangladesh must focus from the very first match. Afghanistan’s rising players are known for explosive cricket. Nepal’s youth squad has evolved impressively, and Sri Lanka remains one of the most technically sound teams in Asia.
Group A is stacked with India, Pakistan, UAE and Malaysia. India–Pakistan on December 14 is expected to draw massive attention worldwide. India will also feature in the opening match on December 12 against UAE.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
