Habibul Bashar Steps Down from Chattogram Royals Ahead of BPL Season

Six franchises are set to take part in the upcoming 12th edition of the BPL. Under new ownership, Chattogram Royals have seen a major change as Habibul Bashar Sumon has stepped away from his role.

His appointment as the team’s manager and mentor had been announced earlier, but he has withdrawn his name before the start of the tournament due to personal reasons.

Mominul Haque will serve as the head coach of the team. The coaching panel also includes Najmul Hossain Milon and Ashraful Islam Jiko.

Preparations for the other franchises are also nearing completion. Rangpur’s coaching staff comprises head coach Mickey Arthur, assistant coach Mohammad Ashraful, batting coach Shahriar Nafees and spin bowling coach Mohammad Rafique.

Hannan Sarkar will act as Rajshahi’s head coach, while the coach of Dhaka Capitals is Toby Rutherford. The head coach of Sylhet is Sohel Islam, and Khaled Mahmud Sujon will oversee Noakhali.
