Idhika Paul Set to Star as Heroine in Siam Ahmed’s New Film ‘Rakkhosh’

Popular Dhallywood actor Siam Ahmed is currently passing through a very busy schedule. Recently, he completed the shooting of the film ‘Andhar’, directed by Raihan Rafi. As soon as he wrapped up the work on that film, he took on another new project titled ‘Rakkhosh’. There is already immense interest and excitement amongst the audience regarding this film. In particular, there had been widespread speculation within the film industry for a long time about who would star opposite Siam in this movie. At times, the name of Prarthana Fardin Dighi was heard, whilst at other times, Sabila Nur’s name came up in discussions. However, the directors and producers took some time to reach a final decision on this matter. Finally, ending all speculation, it has been confirmed that popular Kolkata actress Idhika Paul will be the heroine of the film ‘Rakkhosh’.

It is reported that the formal agreement with Idhika Paul will be signed this week. If everything goes according to plan, this will be the first film featuring the pair of Siam Ahmed and Idhika Paul. Previously, in February 2024, there were rumours of them acting together in a film titled ‘Sikandar’ by Tamim Rahman. However, that project did not proceed further. Therefore, the news that they will finally be seen together in ‘Rakkhosh’ has created renewed curiosity amongst the audience. Idhika Paul gained widespread recognition amongst the Bangladeshi audience primarily through Shakib Khan’s film ‘Priyotoma’. Subsequently, she acted opposite Shakib Khan in ‘Borbaad’. Beyond Shakib Khan, she has worked in Hasibur Reza’s ‘Kobi’, Kolkata’s ‘Khadaan’, and ‘Raghu Dakat’ with Dev. She is gradually increasing her popularity in both Bengals and solidifying her position.

On the other hand, Siam Ahmed’s last released film was ‘Jongli’, where his co-star was Shabnam Bubly. Since his big-screen debut with ‘Poramon 2’, he has proven his skills in both commercial and content-driven films. According to the production house, the shooting for ‘Rakkhosh’ will commence in Dhaka this month. Following this, the team will travel to various scenic locations in Sri Lanka and Malaysia to film the remaining parts. There are plans to include international-standard locations and modern action sequences in the film. Director Mehedi Hasan and actor Siam Ahmed have not made any formal comments on this matter as of yet. However, media sources indicate that the camera will start rolling within the next two weeks, and if all goes well, the film will be released in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
