NCC Bank Securities and ICB sign Tk 250 million loan agreement

NCC Bank Securities and Financial Services Limited and the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) have signed a loan agreement under which NCCB Securities will receive Tk 250 million in loans from ICB, according to a press release.

The signing ceremony was held at the ICB head office in Motijheel, Dhaka. ICB managing director Niranjan Chandra Debnath and NCC Bank managing director and NCCB Securities director M Shamsul Arefin signed and exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. ICB deputy managing director Md Nurul Huda, general manager Md Habib Ullah, deputy general manager Babul Chandra Debnath, NCCB Securities chief executive officer Ahsanul Arefin and FAVP Mohammad Delwar Hossain were also present.

Speaking at the ceremony, ICB managing director Niranjan Chandra Debnath said that ICB has always remained committed to supporting the capital market, enhancing the strength of financial institutions and maintaining a stable investment environment in the country. He noted that the loan facility reflects ICB’s continued dedication to capital market protection and the smooth financial operations of market intermediary institutions. He added that the agreement symbolises mutual trust, cooperation and a shared commitment to building a stronger and more sustainable capital market.

NCC Bank managing director and NCCB Securities director, M Shamsul Arefin, highlighted the long-standing contribution of ICB to the development and stability of the country’s capital market. He emphasised that the collaboration reflects mutual trust and a shared commitment to strengthening the market in a responsible manner. He added that NCC Bank remains committed to financial transparency and corporate governance, and expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for further strategic cooperation with ICB in future.
