National Life Insurance PLC, the pre-eminent titan of Bangladesh’s insurance landscape, underscored its commitment to policyholder welfare by settling insurance claims totalling 1.75 Crore BDT. The significant payout took place on 27 December 2025 during a grand Year-End Review Meeting held at the Dream Holiday Park in Narsingdi. The company’s Chairman, Tofazzal Hossain, attended as the chief guest and personally handed over the claim cheques to beneficiaries, a move intended to bolster public confidence in the sector.
The summit, presided over by Chief Executive Officer Md. Kazim Uddin, was a massive assembly of the company’s human capital. Approximately 6,000 development officers from the greater Brahmanbaria, Sylhet, and Narsingdi regions attended the event to review the year’s performance and align on future strategic goals.
Addressing the sea of officers, Chairman Tofazzal Hossain noted that National Life’s structural and financial integrity is reaching new heights. He attributed the company’s burgeoning public acceptance to the “exceptional skill and professional training” of its workforce. In a landmark announcement, the Chairman revealed that National Life is now preparing to extend its operations beyond domestic borders, aiming to establish a presence in various international markets in the coming years.

CEO Md. Kazim Uddin reflected on a half-decade of unprecedented commercial success, noting that the firm has successfully brought 7.2 million people under its protective umbrella. He highlighted the company’s liquidity and operational efficiency, which famously allow for claims to be settled within just sixty minutes—a benchmark that has fundamentally altered the industry’s reputation for bureaucracy.
Uddin further observed that the cultural perception of insurance in Bangladesh has undergone a revolution. Once a marginalised sector, it is now viewed as a “premier profession” for the nation’s youth. He concluded with a bold objective: to ensure that National Life’s services reach every single household in Bangladesh within the next five years. Supporting addresses were also delivered by Deputy Managing Directors Probir Chandra Das FCA and Md. Abul Kashem, emphasising the critical importance of renewal premium collections for sustained institutional health.
