Zenith Islamic Life Extends Coverage to Cumilla University

Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC has further expanded its group life and health insurance programme, formally incorporating Cumilla University (CU) under its comprehensive coverage scheme. This addition marks a significant milestone, as eight leading universities across Bangladesh are now beneficiaries of Zenith Islamic Life’s group insurance services, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to ensuring financial security and healthcare support for educational institutions’ personnel.

The agreement was officially signed on Monday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of Cumilla University. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Haider Ali. On behalf of the university, the Treasurer, Professor Dr. Mohammad Solaiman, signed the contract, while Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC was represented by Chief Executive Officer S. M. Nuruzzaman.

Under the terms of the agreement, all teaching staff, administrative officials, and other employees of Cumilla University will be entitled to life and health insurance benefits in accordance with the stipulated policy framework. University officials highlighted that this initiative will provide employees with enhanced financial protection and facilitate timely access to critical medical services, thereby improving overall welfare within the university community.

Senior university administrators present at the event included Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain (Registrar, additional charge), Professor Dr. Dulal Chandra Nandi, various deans, Deputy Director (Accounts) Md. Nasir Uddin, and the Head of the Medical Centre, Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Khan (Sohag), among other distinguished faculty and administrative staff.

Representatives from Zenith Islamic Life Insurance PLC included Organisation Head Md. Abdul Kader, Vice President and Head of Group Insurance Md. Anwar Hossain Sarkar, General Manager Md. Nasir Uddin Majumdar, along with other senior officials. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the agreement, noting that it will significantly strengthen the security and wellbeing of university employees and their families.
