Today marks a significant day for Eurovision fans, as key developments unfold in Greece, Azerbaijan, and Finland ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Greece will unveil the remaining songs competing in Sing for Greece – Ellinikós Telikós 2026 Semi-Final Two, Azerbaijan closes its submission window, and Finland will release the third contender in its national selection, UMK 2026.
Greece: Semi-Final Two Line-Up Revealed
ERT, Greece’s national broadcaster, will this afternoon reveal the 14 songs competing in the second semi-final of Sing for Greece – Ellinikós Telikós 2026. The announcements will be broadcast live on ERT1 and streamed on ERTFLIX via EurovisionGR at 16:00 CET.

In each semi-final, the public will select seven songs to advance to the final, where 14 songs will compete. The winner will be determined through a combination of public vote (50%) and two judging panels—one international (25%) and one Greek (25%).
Azerbaijan: Deadline for Song Submissions
Today is also the final day for artists wishing to participate in Azerbaijan’s Eurovision selection. Submissions must be sent to song@eurovision.az by 18 January. Songs must be final versions, comply with Eurovision rules, and not have been commercially released or broadcast before 1 September 2025. Each submission may not exceed three minutes in duration.
Finland: Third UMK 2026 Song Released
Finland will later tonight release the third of seven songs competing in UMK 2026. Pop band Komiat, formed in 2017, will unveil the track alongside its official music video on the UMK YouTube channel. The group has previously released two studio albums and earned multiple accolades within the Finnish music scene.
With Greece, Azerbaijan, and Finland all taking significant steps forward, Eurovision fans can expect an exhilarating few months ahead as national selections heat up.
