Over the years, numerous high-profile Indian films have captured scenes amid its dramatic Himalayan backdrop.

This time, the spotlight fell on Bangladesh’s Dhaka-based film industry, as popular stars Sunerah Binte Kamal and Forrukh Ahmed Rehan ventured to Jomsom for the first time to shoot the musical film ‘O Jan’. Filming took place under extreme conditions, with temperatures plunging between -8°C and -10°C, offering the Bangladeshi team a uniquely challenging yet unforgettable experience.

Reflecting on the experience, Sunerah Binte Kamal remarked, “Nepal, the land of the Himalayas, is stunningly beautiful, and Jomsom possesses an almost otherworldly charm. Yet beneath the picturesque exterior lay very real challenges. Shooting at -8°C was far from easy, but working in such a remarkable location will remain a lifelong memory. I am confident that audiences will fall not only for the song but also for the enchanting beauty of the place—it felt like performing a musical sequence on a grand Bollywood canvas.”

Meanwhile, Forrukh Ahmed Rehan described the opportunity as “cinematically unparalleled. The synergy between the song’s lyrics and the visual narrative is rarely seen in typical music videos. Despite the biting cold, the breathtaking scenery made every moment worthwhile. We are thrilled to present audiences with such a special project at the start of the year.”
