From Son of a Farmer to Freelance Millionaire

Born in the serene village of Basupur, Putia, in Rajshahi, Asadullah Al Galib has risen from humble origins to become a celebrated figure in the global freelancing arena. Once a boy whose hands wiped the sweat of his father, a farmer, while holding a plough, he now commands international recognition on prominent digital platforms. His story is not merely of engineering success; it is a testament to perseverance, innate talent, and the power of dreams realised.

Childhood and Education

Galib grew up in a modest farming household. His father, Md. Abdus Samad Mondal, and mother, Ayesha Begum, managed the family with limited resources. From an early age, Galib displayed exceptional academic promise. He secured a GPA–5 in his Secondary School Certificate in 2012 and repeated the feat at Rajshahi Collegiate School in 2014, paving the way for his admission to Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in Leather Engineering. Financial constraints, however, meant he often had to forego snacks to save 30 takas daily.

During his university years, he supplemented his family’s income through tuition teaching and part-time meals, while also marrying his schoolmate, Hira Khatun, which increased his responsibilities. Amidst these challenges, he nurtured ambitions far larger than his immediate circumstances.

Early Struggles and Digital Skills

Balancing a demanding engineering curriculum with a desire to innovate, Galib began exploring digital marketing on an old laptop gifted by his father. A year of disciplined study and modest freelance earnings allowed him to join international platforms. His early English lessons under teacher Arafat Hossain instilled the confidence to communicate effectively. The thrill of earning his first three dollars felt akin to conquering the Himalayas.

Transition to Full-Time Freelancing

After completing his engineering degree and an internship at Apex Footwear, Galib cleared the government job recruitment examination. Yet, the restricted salary and limited creative scope led him to make a bold decision: to resign and embrace full-time freelancing.

Achievements and Future Vision

Today, Galib earns between 150,000–200,000 takas monthly. He leads a team of 10–12 skilled young professionals and operates his own digital marketing agency serving clients worldwide. His ambition is to create employment for 1,000 people, contributing meaningfully to national development.

In an interview, Galib stated: “A GPA–5 or the name of a university is not the ultimate measure. With honesty, the right mentor, and immense determination, anyone from a simple farming background can achieve global success. My goal is not only personal achievement but also national progress.”

Galib’s journey embodies the principle that with unwavering resolve and perseverance, even the loftiest dreams can take tangible form.
