Empowering Women: Tara Entrepreneur Fair 2026

BRAC Bank has launched the fourth edition of the “Tara Entrepreneur Fair 2026”, a three-day exhibition dedicated to promoting women-led businesses across the country. The fair aims to expand market access for female entrepreneurs and create sustainable opportunities for locally produced goods. According to a press release issued by the bank, the initiative reflects BRAC Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting women in leadership and entrepreneurship.

The fair is being held from 27 February to 1 March 2026 at the Aloki Convention Centre, located on the Tejgaon–Gulshan Link Road, operating daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s event focuses on ensuring broader market reach for women entrepreneurs while increasing consumer awareness of their products.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Meheriar M. Hasan, Chairman of BRAC Bank, independent director Leela Rashid, and Anita Gazi Rahman. Senior executives including Tarek Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO, and Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director & Head of SME Banking, also participated.

A total of 88 women entrepreneurs from various regions of the country are showcasing their products, which include handicrafts, textiles, food items, and beauty services. These products not only preserve local traditions but also contribute to inclusive economic growth. BRAC Bank has provided free stalls for all participants, enabling them to reach a wider consumer audience.

The fair features a diverse range of products, including Jamdani and Muslin textiles, handcrafted boutique clothing, pottery, jute, bamboo and rattan items, leather goods, organic beauty products, and traditional foods. A special food court has been arranged offering Iftar and dinner items in line with the upcoming Eid celebrations.

To encourage digital financial inclusion, a QR code-based payment system has been introduced. Customers using QR payments receive up to 20% discount, incentivising cashless transactions and supporting women entrepreneurs in the digital economy.
