“BTS Returns: Netflix Unveils Comeback Live Stream”

“Seven together, we can do anything,” declares RM, leader of the global K-pop sensation BTS, in the voiceover of Netflix’s newly released trailer for the group’s long-awaited live-streamed concert.

The seven-member supergroup — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — are making their return this March with Arirang, their first album in years. The hiatus allowed members to fulfil their mandatory military service in South Korea, leaving fans eagerly anticipating this reunion.

Netflix announced the special event, BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, last month. The concert will stream live on March 21 from Gwanghwamun, a prominent Seoul landmark offering sweeping views of the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace. This performance marks the global debut of the new album, which releases on March 20.

The trailer offers glimpses rather than full reveals, teasing ARMY, the group’s devoted fanbase, with heartfelt moments. Jung Kook, the youngest member at 28, can be heard saying, “So emotional. I really miss them,” while 30-year-old Jimin adds, “Let’s get back out there!” RM’s voiceover reinforces their promise: “We promised our fans we’d be back.” The trailer is accompanied by a cinematic arrangement of Mikrokosmos, a fan favourite from their 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona. Each member is showcased against the striking backdrop of the palace, creating a visual treat for fans hungry for any glimpse of the band after years of limited promotion.

Following the live stream, Netflix will premiere BTS: The Return, an intimate documentary chronicling the making of Arirang, on March 27. This provides fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and personal stories of the members.

BTS is also gearing up for their first full-scale tour as a complete group in several years, spanning 2026–2027 across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia. The tour promises 79 stops and an immersive 360-degree stage design.
