Iran Launches Intensest Strikes on Israel

In the past few hours, several major cities in Israel have come under renewed missile attacks, reportedly launched by Iran. Targeted cities include Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem, while certain US military installations across the Middle East were also claimed to be under assault.

According to Iranian state media, this represents one of the most intense strikes since the conflict began. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that the attacks, carried out on Tuesday night, employed the ‘Khoramshahr’ missile system.

The IRGC stated that a satellite communication centre south of Tel Aviv was targeted for the second time. Additionally, military facilities in Haifa, West Jerusalem, and the Be’er Ya’akov area were also claimed to be attacked. In a broader regional operation, Iran asserted that a US military base in Erbil, Iraq, as well as the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain, were targeted.

Israeli authorities, while confirming detection of the incoming missiles from Iran, have reported that the situation is currently under control. Citizens have been allowed to leave shelters safely. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia reported that it intercepted and destroyed two drones en route to an oil facility.

Summary of Targets and Weapons

Target Location Country/City Weapon Used Remarks
Satellite communication centre Tel Aviv, Israel Khoramshahr missile Second strike on facility
Military installations Haifa, West Jerusalem, Be’er Ya’akov, Israel Khoramshahr missile Key strategic sites targeted
US military base Erbil, Iraq Khoramshahr missile Regional US presence targeted
US Fifth Fleet HQ Manama, Bahrain Khoramshahr missile Headquarters of fleet targeted
Oil facility Saudi Arabia Drones Destroyed mid-air

Experts suggest that the attacks demonstrate both Iran’s military capabilities and its strategic intent to project influence across the region. The escalations have heightened tensions in the Middle East, with potential implications for regional stability and international diplomatic efforts.

Analysts emphasise that these attacks may necessitate adjustments in the security strategies of Israel, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. The situation underlines the fragility of the current geopolitical environment and raises concerns about further escalation in the conflict.

Overall, the latest missile strikes underscore a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, reflecting Iran’s capacity to target both civilian and military assets while sending a potent strategic signal across the region.
