A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday morning in Akkelpur, Joypurhat, when a 21-year-old man was struck and killed by a Dhaka-bound Chilahat Express train while walking along the railway line with headphones on.
The victim, Rimon Hossain, a resident of Halir Mor area in Akkelpur, was the son of Babu Hossain. He worked as a labourer at a local poultry farm and was reportedly returning from a nearby area when the incident occurred.
According to local witnesses, Rimon was walking along the railway tracks around 8:30 a.m., wearing headphones, which likely prevented him from hearing the approaching train. Residents immediately alerted the railway police, who arrived promptly to recover the body.
