Asif Akbar Returns With Heartfelt Track

After a prolonged hiatus, Bengali music icon Asif Akbar is making a highly anticipated comeback with a brand-new song. This return carries a special emotional significance, as it marks a reunion with the production house that launched his audio career: Soundtek. Just in time for the upcoming Eid celebrations, his latest single, “Bhool” (Mistake), has recently completed recording.

Renowned lyricist Faisal Rabbikin penned the words, while composer and arranger Rezaul Sheikh crafted the melody and musical composition. The accompanying music video is directed by Soikat Reza, promising a visual narrative that complements the song’s emotive tone. Speaking about the project, Asif Akbar shared,

“With ‘Bhool’, I’ve returned to recording a new song after a long period. From lyrics to melody and arrangement, everything has come together just as I envisioned. I truly believe the audience will connect with it once it’s released.”

Faisal Rabbikin expressed his excitement at collaborating with Asif again:

“After so many years, it was a pleasure to work with Asif Bhai. I wanted to create a song with meaningful lyrics that truly resonate, and I feel we’ve achieved that. Asif himself is very enthusiastic about this project.”

The song is expected to release under the Soundtek banner along with a full-fledged music video during Eid-ul-Fitr. The lyrics capture the melancholy of separation and the inevitability of divergent paths, reflecting heartfelt emotions familiar to Asif’s fans. A glimpse of the song’s lines conveys this sentiment:

“I never imagined the day would come
That I would stay without you
Two paths diverge apart
Leaving me completely lost.”
