Stars Rush From Cinema To Cinema

On Eid day, audiences flocked to theatres for the release of ‘Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka’, ‘Bonolota Express’, ‘Dom’, ‘Rakhosh’, and ‘Pressure Cooker’. With tickets in high demand, stars have been moving from cinema to cinema to promote their films, matching the excitement of the viewers.

At the SKS Tower branch of Star Cineplex, the premiere of ‘Bonolota Express’ was attended by Chanchal Chowdhury, Bandhan, Shyamal Mawla, Shariful Raj, and Sabila Nur. The film, directed by Tanim Noor, is based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel Kichu Khon. Chanchal Chowdhury told reporters, “The hall was packed. It feels wonderful when a house is full. The excitement among the audience really made us happy.” He added, “During emotional moments, the silence, the sounds of tears, and heavy breaths made me feel connected to the story. My eyes welled up 10–12 times.”

Chanchal Chowdhury also appears in ‘Dom’, directed by Redwan Rony, with Afran Nisho in the lead role. On Eid, Nisho attended the Star Cineplex Center Point branch along with co-star Puja Cherry, producer Shahriar Shakil, and director Redwan Rony. Nisho said, “The audience’s reactions have been incredible. It’s only the beginning. As long as I live, I want to physically experience their response in the hall. Nothing beats this.”

In ‘Rakhosh’, Siam Ahmed and Sushmita Chatterjee toured halls on Saturday. Siam told reporters, “The audience is connecting with what we envisioned. This is not just another commercial film; it has become theirs.”

‘Pressure Cooker’ promotions saw appearances by Nazifa Tushi, Prantar Dastidar, and director Rayhan Rafi.

Meanwhile, Shakib Khan’s ‘Prince’ has not had any promotional hall visits, and technical issues have delayed screenings in multiplexes. However, the film has been released in 133 single-screen theatres nationwide.
