The 2025 Government Primary Scholarship Examination is scheduled to take place in April 2026. While the detailed timetable for the exam has yet to be released, the question paper structure, marks distribution, and full examination guidelines have already been published. The Directorate of Primary Education officially released these guidelines on their website last Tuesday.
According to the guidelines, students must adhere to ten key instructions while in the examination hall. In addition, a code of conduct for behaviour during the exam has been outlined to ensure fairness and discipline.
The primary scholarship examination will cover five subjects: Bangla, English, Mathematics, Primary Science, and Bangladesh & Global Studies.
Two types of scholarships will be awarded: Talent Pool and General. Each category will select 50% boys and 50% girls. Of the total scholarships, 80% are reserved for government primary school students and 20% for private school students.
| No. | Instruction |
|---|---|
| 1 | Students must arrive at the hall on time with their admit card; entry without it is not allowed |
| 2 | No unauthorised papers, calculators, mobile phones, or electronic devices are permitted |
| 3 | Only name, subject code, and roll number may be written on the OMR cover sheet |
| 4 | The answer sheet must bear the invigilator’s signature; otherwise, it will be invalid |
| 5 | Students must not write names, addresses, roll numbers, or any symbols inside or outside the answer sheet |
| 6 | No extra rough paper will be provided; rough work must be done within the answer sheet and later removed properly |
| 7 | Students may not write on tables, rulers, their body, or any other surfaces |
| 8 | Students may not leave the hall within the first hour after distribution of question papers |
| 9 | Answer sheets must be submitted to the invigilator before leaving the hall |
| 10 | All other instructions issued by authorities must be strictly followed |
These measures aim to ensure a disciplined, fair, and well-organised examination environment. By following these rules, students can focus on their performance while maintaining the integrity of the scholarship process.
