Campus Leader Injured in Fuel Station Attack

A student leader from the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) has been hospitalised following a violent assault at a filling station in Hathazari, Chattogram. The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening near the Hathazari bus stand, has heightened concerns over student safety and local tensions surrounding the university.

The injured individual, Masum Billah, currently serves as the CUCSU’s Secretary for Library and Cafeteria Affairs. According to his account, he was attacked by a group of স্থানীয় যুবক while refuelling his motorcycle at the M Alam Filling Station. The assailants, reportedly armed with sharp weapons and sticks, launched a sudden and coordinated হামলা, leaving him with গুরুতর injuries.

The university administration has acknowledged the seriousness of the ঘটনা. The Proctor stated that the Vice-Chancellor is closely monitoring the situation and has instructed law enforcement agencies to apprehend those responsible without delay.
