The vibrant celebrations of Bengali New Year have swept across Bangladesh, with cities and districts embracing the festive spirit through cultural programmes, fairs, and live music events marking Pahela Baishakh. Amid this nationwide festivity, the district of Pabna is preparing for one of its most anticipated musical gatherings.
A grand Baishakhi concert will be held at the Edward College ground in Pabna city, beginning at 9:00am, promising a full day of music, dance, and cultural performances designed to celebrate the spirit of the New Year.
The main attraction of the event will be legendary rock icon James, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Bangladeshi rock music. His performance is expected to draw a large crowd of fans from across the region.
He will be joined on stage by popular contemporary singer Imran Mahmudul, known for his romantic and modern Bengali hits, as well as acclaimed vocalist Oyshee, who has earned recognition for her versatility across genres.
In addition, the top three finalists from “Magic Bauliana 2025” will also perform, adding a platform for emerging talent to showcase their artistry in front of a live audience.
Beyond music, the programme will feature traditional and contemporary dance performances. Dancer Mandira Chakraborty will appear alongside the Sohag Dance Troupe, presenting choreographed segments inspired by Bengali culture and festive themes.
