The government has announced a comprehensive increase in the prices of all categories of fuel oil, marking a significant shift in domestic energy pricing policy. The revised rates, set to take effect from Sunday, 19 April, reflect a long-anticipated adjustment aligned with rising trends in the global energy market.

According to an official statement issued on Saturday by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the decision aims to synchronise local fuel prices with international market conditions while ensuring stability in the national supply chain. The notice, signed by Public Relations Officer Muhammad Arif Sadeq, confirmed that all fuel retailers and distributors across the country will be required to implement the new pricing structure immediately upon its activation.
