Investment banking group Maybank has revised its long-term financial projections for Thai Life Insurance (TLI), forecasting the insurer’s core profit to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7% through to 2028. This positive assessment follows an exceptionally strong second-quarter performance in 2026, prompting analysts to upgrade their near-term earnings models and valuation metrics for the company.

The upward adjustment in the insurer’s long-term outlook is underpinned by a combination of key operational drivers. Maybank notes that the projected expansion is supported by lower overall insurance claims, stronger anticipated investment income, and a structurally solid capital position.

Forecast Revisions and Balance Sheet Strength

Following the disclosure of the robust second-quarter results for 2026, Maybank increased its forecast for TLI’s full-year 2026 core profit by 10%. The revision reflects immediate operational efficiencies and improved underwriting performance observed during the first half of the financial year.
