Southeast Bank Islamic Banking Branch Relocates in Dhaka

Southeast Bank PLC has transferred its Motijheel Branch (Islamic Banking) to a new, larger location to facilitate the delivery of enhanced and modern banking services. The announcement was confirmed via an official corporate press release.

The branch commenced its commercial operations at the new premises on Sunday, 7 June 2026. The new address is situated at DR Tower (1st Floor), 65/2/2, Box Culvert Road, Purana Paltan, Motijheel, Dhaka-1000.

Corporate Leadership at the Inauguration

The relocated branch was formally inaugurated by M.A. Kashem, Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. A number of high-profile officials from the bank’s Board of Directors were also present, including Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Engr. Khandker Badrul Hassan, and Md. Rafiqul Islam (representing Asia Insurance PLC as a Nominee Director).

The Managing Director and CEO of Southeast Bank PLC, Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, attended the proceedings as the Special Guest. Other senior executives in attendance included Additional Managing Directors Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Md. Mahbub Alam. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Mahmudul Hasan, the Head of the Branch. The event was also attended by senior bank executives, prominent local businesspersons, clients, and local dignitaries.
