Warfaze Returns with New Studio Track ‘Girgiti’ After Ten Years

Bangladesh’s iconic rock band Warfaze has reached another significant milestone in its remarkable 42-year musical journey with the release of its much-anticipated new studio track ‘Girgiti’. The song marks the band’s return to studio releases after a decade and has already generated excitement among fans of Bengali rock music.

Written by Shams Mansur Goni and K M Imranul Haque Ritul, ‘Girgiti’ has been included as part of an upcoming film project by Upstudio Production House. The song features composition by Shams Mansur Goni, while the arrangement and performance have been handled by Warfaze. The audio-visual track was officially released on Monday, 6 July, through the YouTube channel of Loy Records.

The visual presentation and overall arrangement of the song have been developed by Upstudio Production House, which is also producing the upcoming film featuring the track. The production house, known for its work on various film and documentary projects, is producing the movie under the direction of Sourav Kundu, with Hamidul Hasan Nabin serving as producer. A special event was organised in the capital by Loy Records to mark the release of ‘Girgiti’.

The new track holds particular significance for Warfaze as it serves as the opening song of the band’s first studio album project since 2012. Over the years, Warfaze has released seven studio albums, including ‘Warfaze’, ‘Obak Bhalobasha’, ‘Jibondhara’, ‘Oshamajik’, ‘Alo’, ‘Maharaj’ and ‘Bangla Sotto’. These albums have earned widespread appreciation from listeners both in Bangladesh and abroad, establishing the band as one of the leading forces in the country’s rock music scene.

Alongside their albums, Warfaze has also released several popular singles, including ‘Maya’, ‘Alo 2’, ‘Hariye Tomake’, ‘Ondho Jibon’ and ‘Ma’. These songs, along with the band’s compilation album ‘Pothchola’, have further strengthened their connection with generations of listeners.

The arrival of ‘Girgiti’ comes at a particularly memorable time for Warfaze. The year 2026 has already been marked by major achievements for the band, including the celebration of its 42nd anniversary, receiving the prestigious Ekushey Padak, and expanding its cultural presence through a special collaboration with global brand Zippo. The recognition reflects Warfaze’s enduring contribution to Bengali hard rock and heavy metal music, as well as its influence on successive generations of musicians and fans.

Ahead of the upcoming studio album, Warfaze has also been releasing songs from its compilation project ‘Pothchola 2’ on YouTube, increasing anticipation among followers for the band’s next major release.

Loy Records expressed pride in presenting another powerful composition from Warfaze through ‘Girgiti’. Established in 2021, the record label has been working to promote diverse musical talents and genres in Bangladesh. The label has already released five singles by Warfaze, further strengthening its association with one of the country’s most influential rock bands.
