DHAKA — The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Secretariat has officially announced a revised schedule for the written examinations covering 13th to 16th grade recruitment posts, following an earlier suspension that disrupted the public sector hiring timeline.

In a formal notification issued on Sunday, 9 August, the civil service recruitment body released comprehensive details regarding the new exam dates, daily timetables, designated testing centres, seating arrangements, and strict operational guidelines for candidates.

Strict Examination Instructions for Candidates

Under the newly issued directives, all examinees are required to occupy their designated seats at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the written test. Commission authorities emphasized that latecomers will face strict exclusion, with invigilators instructed not to allow any candidate entry into the examination hall once testing officially begins. Additionally, examinees will be prohibited from leaving their assigned rooms before the total duration of the examination concludes.

The commission also underlined that strict seating compliance will be enforced. Candidates must sit exclusively at their assigned center, hall, and seat number specified on their admit cards; sitting in any unauthorized hall or desk will result in immediate disqualification.

The recruitment drive traces back to 5 April, when the BPSC published the initial circular inviting applications for various non-cadre posts falling under the 13th to 16th pay grades across various government ministries and directorates. Thousands of jobseekers across the country applied for these administrative and clerical positions, which offer stable civil service entry-level careers under the national pay scale.

The written examinations were originally scheduled to take place on 31 July. However, administrative complications and unforeseen logistical hurdles forced the commission to postpone the assessment at short notice, leaving prospective candidates waiting for updated instructions.
