A tragic road accident in the Namuri Bazar area of Aditmari Upazila, Lalmonirhat district, claimed the life of a man and left his wife and children injured when a truck collided with their motorcycle on Saturday afternoon.

 

Victim Identified

The deceased has been identified as Debabrata Roy, also known as Dasu Roy, aged 48, the son of Khitish Chandra Barman from Radhaballab Harati village, located in Rangpur Sadar Upazila. Roy was killed instantly in the collision.

 

Injured Family Members

His wife, Misti Rani, aged 30, and their 6-year-old son, Mithal Chandra, sustained injuries in the crash. Both were immediately taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, though their conditions remain unclear.

 

Police Confirmation

The Officer-in-Charge of Aditmari Police Station, Ali Akbar, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway.
