Chief Adviser Expresses Grief Over Uttara Training Aircraft Crash Casualties

A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft has crashed in the capital’s Uttara area. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon within the campus of Milestone College in Uttara. According to an official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an F-7 BGI training jet of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed in the Diabari area of Uttara. The aircraft took off at 1:06 PM on Monday.

Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser, has expressed deep sorrow and sympathy over the tragic incident.

In a condolence message, he stated:

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft today in the campus of Milestone School and College in the Diabari area of Uttara, Dhaka. I express my profound grief and condolences for the casualties and injuries caused by this devastating accident.

The loss suffered by the Air Force and the students, guardians, teachers, and staff of Milestone School and College is irreparable. This is a moment of profound sorrow for the entire nation.”

He further added:

“I wish the injured a swift and complete recovery and have instructed all relevant authorities, including the concerned hospitals, to address the situation with utmost urgency.

The government will take all necessary steps to investigate the cause of the crash and ensure every form of support for those affected.”
