A fire broke out this afternoon in a multi-storey residential building located in the West Shawrapara area of the capital.
The blaze started on the fourth floor of the building around 16:15 PM, according to Rafi Al Faruk, the duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).
Three firefighting engines have been deployed to the scene and are currently working to control the blaze. The Fire Service has been actively trying to prevent the fire from spreading to other floors of the building.
