Details of the Incident
Earlier in the day, when the advisers arrived for a scheduled visit to the campus, they were trapped by the protesting students demanding the fulfilment of their six-point agenda. The situation escalated after the police entered the campus at around 1:10 PM, in an attempt to safely remove the officials. This led to further anger and unrest among the students, who then demanded the removal of law enforcement from the campus.
By the afternoon, the situation turned tense as students began to chase the police, forcing them to retreat inside the administrative building. The students took control of the main gate and even attempted to enter the college building.
Clash and Attempts to Calm the Situation
While the teachers on-site tried to calm the students, the situation became increasingly heated. Despite efforts to negotiate, the students refused to leave their positions.
To restore order, additional police and RAB forces were deployed, which ultimately led to the removal of the students from the campus. The advisers and press secretary were able to leave by 3:30 PM, but they were forced to return to the campus shortly after due to a blockade on the road.
Outcome
After hours of tension, the officials finally left the campus with the assistance of law enforcement, although the students’ protests remained unresolved, and the blockade on the road had to be cleared before the advisers could safely proceed with their departure.
This incident highlights the ongoing unrest at Milestone School and College, where students have been protesting for various demands, including the resignation of educational authorities.
