Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited has disbursed a death claim amounting to £2,100 (BDT 314,000) to the designated nominee of a deceased client in Jhenaidah, maintaining its commitment to prompt policy settlements. The payout was made following the passing of Constable Akhtaruzzaman, who had maintained a life insurance policy through the company’s Jhenaidah branch office.
A official cheque presentation ceremony was organized in Jhenaidah to mark the occasion, bringing together civic leaders, local businessmen, and key corporate representatives. Advocate M. A. Mazid, Administrator of the Jhenaidah District Council and President of the BNP Jhenaidah District unit, attended as the chief guest and presented the cheque to the grieving family. In his remarks, Advocate Mazid commended the executive board of Bengal Islami Life for honoring the claim efficiently, highlighting how vital insurance protection is for maintaining household stability during unexpected tragedies.
During the event, Md. Amin Helali, Vice Chairman of Bengal Islami Life, emphasized that the firm aims to balance its core objective of financial security with active job creation across urban and rural branches. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer M. M. Monirul Alam Tapan further elaborated on the company’s financial portfolio, noting that all products operate strictly under Islamic Sharia guidelines. Bengal Islami Life provides a range of specialized Takaful life packages, medical insurance, and long-term retirement savings schemes. He also underscored that the firm has integrated modern mobile application technology to simplify user interactions, streamline verification procedures, and facilitate faster claim disbursements.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Nasim Uddin, former President of the Jhenaidah Chamber of Commerce; banker Nurul Islam; Habibur Rahman, Deputy Project Head at Bengal Islami Life; and Md. Shahin Alam, Jhenaidah Office In-charge, alongside local representatives and field workers.
