3 Killed, 25 Injured in Faridpur Bus Collision

FARIDPUR, 24 July 2025 (BSS) – A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three individuals and left 25 others injured following a head-on collision between two buses in Karimpur area, under Sadar Upazila of Faridpur district this morning.

Details of the Incident

According to Faridpur Superintendent of Police Abdul Jalil, the accident occurred at approximately 10:00 am on the Dhaka-Khulna highway, when a Magura-bound bus collided head-on with another bus travelling in the opposite direction.

As a result of the violent impact, three individuals died on the spot, including the driver of one of the buses and a male passenger.

Victims Identified

• Sabu Sheikh (Bus Driver)
  Son of Manik Sheikh, resident of Kershail village, Boalmari Upazila
• Abdul Mannan (Passenger)
• The third victim, a woman, remains unidentified at the time of reporting.

Emergency Response

All 25 injured passengers were swiftly transported to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision and taking necessary measures to support the victims and their families.
