BSTI Mobile Court Fines Unapproved Bakery in Rajshahi

A mobile court in Rajshahi today levied a fine of Taka 5,000 against a bakery for producing and selling food items without obtaining the necessary quality certification from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).

The enforcement action was led by Executive Magistrate Ayan Farhan Shams of the Rajshahi District Administration, in collaboration with the BSTI Divisional Office, Rajshahi. The bakery in question, Jannat Bakery and Confectionery, situated at Saheb Bazar Zero Point, was found to be manufacturing and distributing products such as cakes, chanachur, biscuits, and bread without proper approval.

This initiative was part of BSTI’s ongoing public safety campaign, conducted regularly in the public interest to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
