The National Kabaddi Championship (Men’s and Women’s) will officially commence on Tuesday, 29 July 2025, coinciding with the Festival of Youth 2025. The event promises widespread participation, with all 64 districts of Bangladesh competing.
Zonal Structure and Venues
The championship will be held in eight zones, each named after one of Bangladesh’s major rivers. Each zone includes eight district teams, totalling the 64 districts. The competition kicks off with the Padma Zone, followed by other zones in phased progression.

Championship Format
Official Remarks
A press conference was held at the Bangladesh Olympic Association Auditorium on Saturday to announce the event.
SM Newaz Shohag, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF), expressed optimism:
“This championship will help identify new kabaddi talents from rural and remote areas, pushing the sport forward nationwide.”
