Two Killed in Bogura Road Accident

Two individuals lost their lives and three others sustained injuries in a fatal collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the Kundarhat area, under Nandigram upazila of Bogura district, earlier today.

The tragic incident occurred at approximately 11:00 AM on the Bogura–Natore highway, when a head-on collision took place between the two vehicles.

Accident Details

According to Nirmal Chandra Mahanta, Officer-in-Charge of Kundarhat Highway Police Station, the truck collided directly with the auto-rickshaw, instantly killing the CNG driver and one passenger at the scene.

Aftermath and Response

  • Three injured passengers were immediately transported to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for treatment.

“This tragic accident is a reminder of the dangers of reckless driving on busy highways,” said a local traffic official.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise greater caution, particularly on major highways prone to high-speed collisions, to prevent such avoidable loss of life.
