Remittance Inflow Increases by 23.97% in First 26 Days of July

The inflow of remittances to Bangladesh has seen a notable year-on-year increase of 23.97%, amounting to USD 1,933 million during the first 26 days of July, according to the latest data released by the Bangladesh Bank.

In the corresponding period of the previous year (2024), the country received USD 1,559 million in remittances, highlighting a substantial growth in foreign income sent by expatriate Bangladeshis.

Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record USD 30.33 billion in remittances during the fiscal year 2024–25 (FY25) — the highest ever recorded in the nation’s history.

This represents a 26.80% increase from the USD 23.91 billion received in FY2023–24 (FY24).
